講義概要  Nowadays, enterprise activities are expanding to cover global market in order to be competitive. Many products and services are forced to be in a global competition. Therefore, global supply chain has been established for ranges from best purchasing in the world to satisfied delivery.
  Global economic environment is moving towards expanding free-trade economics area such as NAFTA, ASEAN and EU. Such trend is accelerating for the better purchasing-production-delivery chain which is Supply Chain Management. The keys to operate supply chain are, to set proper strategy for the company, build reasonable deployment tactics of the Strategy, design effective Production Control and Operations Management plan, and proceed to achieve company’s objectives.
 Under the provision of the business domain, the main objective of this course is to understand methods and philosophy of production and operations management for the products and services which are determined by the enterprise strategy.
 Enterprise has three major functions which are, “marketing, research and development”, “production and delivery”, and “finance”. The seminar is focused on entire production system which is to input convert to products or services. It is required for recent enterprises to set proper Management Strategy, effective Production Control and Operations Management.
 In this seminar provided, major component parts of the proper Production Control, which is aiming an effective control for the entire Production System, expected to convert input (resource) into output (products or service) effectively. Such example is Demand Forecasting, Capacity Planning, Production Planning and Materials Requirement Planning, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Project Control.
 For undergraduate students, this seminar helps to understand basic operation flow and major aspects of the enterprise.
  For businessperson, this seminar supports to understand the logical structure from enterprise strategy to operation management and production control. The improve methods of each phase will be contribute to solve current problems will be introduced.
 The objective of this seminar is to enhance practical management capability through learning theoretical structures from Management Strategy to Production Control, as well as pragmatic knowledge and methods of Production Control and Operations Management.
 A variety of teaching modes plans to be used, including case study analyses and discussion, summary lectures and group project work and presentations.
